Classes

With almost all great things there is a catch.  With my Europe trip that catch is having to attend class.  My main concern while I am here is indeed school, this isn't just a giant vacation.  On the bright side, all of my classes are great.  I have extremely experienced professors who seem to legitimately know what they are doing, on top of that they seem to be passionate about what they are teaching which is always a plus.

This semester I am focusing entirely on my theology major.  That being said, I am taking only middle to upper level theology courses.  So, what does that mean exactly?  Well, the courses are supposed to be much more rigorous than I am used to, but I am being taught by the best people available.  In other words, this is quickly shaping up to be the best academic semester I have ever had.  I just hope I can keep up with the workload.  So far it looks like I am mostly going to be doing reading assignments and answering relatively straightforward questions on the subjects.  I have a bare minimum of eight exams between all of the classes, so two exams per class.  The best news that I have had regarding academics has to be that there are no term papers in my classes, which is a major relief.  Writing papers here would probably be quite difficult, there are a lot of distractions.

Today I am on the "A Schedule" which means that I only have one class (Christian Spirituality), Mass, and work (teleconferencing Physical Science from main campus with the aid of my roommate).  After that I am free for the rest of the day, so I will most likely do some reading for classes, blog some more, and perhaps do a bit of exploring in town.

Well, that is all that I have to report for the moment.  Check back later for info about my trip to the monastery in Melk!
